My wife is a permanent resident and I am always watching info. on immigration issues. I believe it is probably better to just leave things how they are. The current cards have expiration dates. I think the resources and energy would be better spent on dealing with illegal immigrants who have bypassed the whole "green card" system anyway. Why make those that have continued to follow the rules and pay the outlandish fees suffer more? Deal with those that are breaking the laws.
