I believe ZERO temporary workers are needed in the usa except MAYBE for
hand-picked crops, and even then, medium security CITIZEN convicts could be
used, if they VOLUNTEER. They should be allowed to keep half their pay. The
other half should go directly to the dept. of corrections IN THAT STATE.
H2B hires should pay a flat tax per hour. Otherwise the USA is losing out on
taxes a CITIZEN would pay.
The employer should also be responsible for their health care, and also provide
accommodations, during their length of employment. Decent accommodations that
keep rain and wind out, with running water.
The employer should also provide them transportation, from, and to, the border,
AND transportation to and from, work. We don't want them driving unlicensed, and
uninsured, on our highways, NOR DRUNK. Any employer who has ANY foreign workers
that fail to return should be stopped from hiring any more for ten years. We
have at least 1/2 million east Indians here who failed to go home.
Before these temporary workers are let loose upon the USA citizenry, Immigration
must know about probable conflicts that their customs/cultures could cause, and
make them swear to not indulge in them. Other cultures think cockfighting is
wholesome family entertainment, whereas we think people who enjoy it are a waste
of skin. The same goes for blood drenching altars, by Caribbean practitioners
of Santeria and vodou, et. al. Importing monkey meat by mail for important
feasts (black Africa), discriminating against service dogs (Muslims), and
generally, any cruelty to animals that the ASPCA (not peta) would define as
such, and cruelty and/or abuse toward women, such as is seen in Aussie-born
young Muslim men/boys. The prospective foreign worker should also be told about
USA customs that might shock them. Muslims are shocked by the sight of a
woman's face, sometimes. Think how they'd feel strolling on a nude beach.
