In response to the announcement by the Office of the United States Trade Representative that it would initiate a Section 302 Investigation into China; Acts, Policies and Practices Affecting Trade and Investment in Green Technology, I write to submit a report the National Foreign Trade Council released in March on, "China’s Promotion of the Renewable Electric Power Equipment Industry: Hydro, Wind, Solar and Biomass."
The report examines policies put in place by the Chinese government to promote the development of its renewable energy sector. The study was authored by members of the International Trade Group of Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP.
I hope this report will inform the investigation.
Sincerely,
William A. Reinsch
President, National Foreign Trade Council
