I just spoke with our VSO to get further explanation and information on RIN 2900-
AN05 specifcally in regard to ALS, DIC benefits, and claims.
I was informed by our VSO that the bill will pay DIC but ONLY beginning on the
date it was approved.
Why would this not go back to the original claim date as would most other VA
benefits claims?
Although I am happy this has been added to the presumtives list and will help
many veterans and spouses, I feel that the date in RIN 2900-AN05 is very
restrictive, and completely unfair.
When all other claims are generally paid back to the date of origination, why
would
this be any exception?
Why do veterans and their families need to continually fight for what is right, what
is fair, what is due?
Why continually cause more frustration, grief and aggrivation to those who've
served or their families?
Is this yet another means by which our Government or VA system chooses or
elects to save countless thousands of dollars rightfully due Veterans and their
families?
