I pray that this proposed rule makes it. It needs to. My father was a Vietnam veteran whom served eight years in the Army during the Vietnam war. He fought in that jungle and won numerous awards, yet when he fell ill, the VA did nothing for him. He filed a claim and died two years later with the claim still sitting on a desk somewhere. He received $600 for his funeral expense because the VA said it was not service related. He had ALS. He died from ALS. He suffered horribly and his country forgot him when he needed them most. The veterans that suffer from this disease deserve a 100% rating and they need their claims sent to the front of the line! My father died 24 months after diagnosis. These men and women do not have time to fight VA red tape. In the name of the Lord, I pray that this is finalized. My father still lies in a grave that I'm paying on to this day because the VA did not see fit to compensate him. If my father's story can help one veteran, then please let it be heard.
