I believe this is a wonderful idea to assist the families, but not only the funeral director. The opportunity should be extended to all eligible veterans, not just those that are facing a terminal illness. A family has the opportunity to prearrange with a private cemetery, why not the National Cemetery. It could also provide the National Cemetery system with an idea of how many veterans are interested in a particular cemetery, allowing the National Cemetery to plan for expansions, budgeting, etc.
