Why are you only limiting on or after 9/11 injured veterans. There are so many veteran caregivers like myself that had to leave jobs loss their homes because of having to quit our jobs to take care of our spouses because they require 24/7 and the VA won't even help and I am constantly fighting with the VA on his care. He was injured prior to 9/11 but because of the team that he was on in a place that even the president of the us didn't even know what his team was doing and he got hurt and the DoD and the VA have turned their back on him so many times because he was special ops that our country along with the UN were trying to stop 9/11 from being worse than it was are denying him the care that he needs and me the care and help that I need. I gave up a 100K career full medical and dental to care for my husband and you are only limiting on or after 9/11 veterans. My husband has a severe brain injury and high risk PTSD I think the new bill should be looked at by a case by case issue. You know that there are black ops operations happening all the time or using special forces and yet you deny the veteran who gave their life to this country because of a date in history when all veterans deserve to be cared for and the families be given a break because after all we are doing what the VA is supposed to be and that is taking care of our wounded. After all my husband's life is forever changed so I look at it as he is different from his service no longer the man he was once so he did give his life to this country and now it's time for the country and the VA to help him improve his quality of life and for me as a caregiver to him be give just a little help to improve my life as a fulltime caregiver. Why is this so hard for the government and the VA to understand. Come live a week in my life to see if you can survive with what I deal with on a daily basis with the VA.
