Shortly after leaving the Navy in 1973 I experienced neuropathy in both of my legs. Having had the agent orange physical at a local VA hospital I was advised to submit a claim for this condition which I did. After an exam to a neurologist I submitted all findings and was denied my claim as I was told that Agent Orange's affects were only for temporary neuropathy. Some forty years later my condition has not only remained but has in some ways worsened. I was exposed repeatedly to Agent Orange in the rivers of the Mekong Delta where the herbicide was sprayed to clear free fire zones of foliage. I am glad to see that there now may be action to further this cause and am appreciative to those involved to continue to look for any and all maladies that we as soldiers and sailors now suffer as a result to those toxins that we were subjected to. Thank you very much.
