Comment on AO01-Proposed Rule-Binnie, Lani Collene

I find this to be a very important program that is trying to be implemented. I believe it is our duty to assist our veterans in any way that we can. Many of our veterans are not able to provide themselves transportation to travel to different VA centers and hospitals. By providing this grant to agencies that qualify, would be a great way to ensure that our veterans can access the care and benefits that are available to them. Living in a rural area can create issues of accessibility to certain areas, and living in a rural area as a wounded or disabled veteran may create circumstances that may prove to be impossible in order to travel to VA centers. I would like to see this proposed rule go into effect and provide the necessary transportation to the veterans. The screening process for the agencies should definitely be monitored so the veterans are able to access this service once it becomes available to them.
