“Principles of Excellence Complaint.” Couldn’t your braintrust have come up with a less exalted and more relevant title for this form? Principles of Excellence could mean just about anything; it has no direct relevance to education. And is it really necessary to note “Respondent Burden” right up there in the title? I was wondering just what was meant by “burden till I notice in tiny type in the upper right where this wondrous bureaucratic phrase was repeated followed by: “20 minutes,” and I realized that some nameless team of bureaucrats likely spent hours figuring out that it would “burden” the average student 20 minutes of study time to fill out this form. Don't treat student veterans like you would fellow bureaucrats. Try to make this form more user friendly. And the one major item that is missing is a section that can easily be fitted in is for their suggestions as to how to make the educational experience for (combat) veterans better -- both theirs in particular and for all student veterans in general. At least give them the opportunity to offer their thoughts on this.
