Abstract:
Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety strongly supports this initiative to improve the safety of radiator and coolant caps to reduce the incidence of scalding injuries. However, the proposed rule needs to be strengthened in major ways to ensure that the benefits of regulation in this area are achieved and that scalds are dramatically reduced in number and severity throughout the United States.
