Abstract: The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) is amending its rules of practice and procedure for national banks and its rules of practice and procedure in adjudicatory proceedings for Federal savings associations to publish the maximum amount, adjusted for inflation, of each civil money penalty (CMP) within its jurisdiction to administer. These actions, including the adjustment methodology, are required under the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act of 1990 (Inflation Adjustment Act or Act), as amended by the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996 (Debt Collection Improvement Act).
