Abstract:
This comment is from FIVS (Federation Internationale des Vins / International Federation of Wines and Spirits). FIVS is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that gathers and disseminates information related to activities of interest to its members and advocates consensus positions to international organisations. This comment supports the TTB proposal to allow the use of a vintage date on a wine labeled with a country as an appellation of origin. This comment was submitted by Bennett Caplan, head of the FIVS secretariat.
