§ 950.360 - IHA employment practices.

(a)
Indian preference. Each IHA shall adopt written policies with respect to the IHA's own employment practices, which shall be in compliance with its obligations under section 7(b) of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (25 U.S.C. 450e(b)), and E.O. 11246 (3 CFR, 1964-65 comp., p. 339), as amended by E.O. 11375 (3 CFR, 1966-70 comp., p. 684), as applicable. A copy of these policies shall be posted in the IHA office. (Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 U.S.C. 2000e), asamended, which prohibits discrimination in employment by making it unlawful for employers to engage in certain discriminatory practices, excludes Indian tribes from the nondiscrimination requirements of Title VII. Wage rates. See § 950.120 (c) and (d) with respect to the wage rates applicable to IHA employees.
