§ 250.820 Use of SSVs.

You must install, maintain, inspect, repair, and test all SSVs in accordance with API RP 14H STD 6AV2 (incorporated by reference as specified in § 250.198). If any SSV does not operate properly, or if any gas and/or liquid fluid flow is observed during the leakage test as described in § 250.880, then you must shut-in all sources to the SSV and repair or replace the valve before resuming production.
