Table 1 to Subpart JJJJ of Part 63 - Operating Limits if Using Add-On Control Devices and Capture System
If you are required to comply with operating limits by § 63.3321, you must comply with the applicable operating limits in the following table:
For the following device: You must meet the following operating limit: And you must demonstrate continuous compliance with operating limits by: 1. Thermal oxidizer a. The average combustion temperature in any 3-hour period must not fall more than 50 °F below the combustion temperature limit established according to § 63.3360(e)(3)(i) i. Collecting the combustion temperature data according to § 63.3350(e)(10);
ii. Reducing the data to 3-hour block averages; andiii. Maintain the 3-hour average combustion temperature at or above the temperature limit. 2. Catalytic oxidizer a. The average temperature at the inlet to the catalyst bed in any 3-hour period must not fall more than 50 degrees Fahrenheit below the combustion temperature limit established according to § 63.3360(e)(3)(ii) i. Collecting the catalyst bed inlet temperature data according to § 63.3350(e)(10);
ii. Reducing the data to 3-hour block averages; and
iii. Maintain the 3-hour average catalyst bed inlet temperature at or above the temperature limit.b. The temperature rise across the catalyst bed must not fall below 80 percent of the limit established according to § 63.3360(e)(3)(ii), provided that the minimum temperature is always 50 degrees Fahrenheit above the catalyst's ignition temperature i. Collecting the catalyst bed inlet and outlet temperature data according to § 63.3350(e)(10);
ii. Reducing the data to 3-hour block averages; and
iii. Maintain the 3-hour average temperature rise across the catalyst bed at or above the limit, and maintain the minimum temperature at least 50 degrees Fahrenheit above the catalyst's ignition temperature3. Emission capture system Submit monitoring plan to the Administrator that identifies operating parameters to be monitored according to § 63.3350(f) Conduct monitoring according to the plan (§ 63.3350(f)(3)).
