§ 180.120 - Methoxychlor; tolerances for residues.

  • Tolerances are established for residues of the insecticide methoxychlor (2,2-bis (p-methoxyphenyl)-1,1,1-tri-chlor-o-e-thane) as follows:

    100 parts per million in or on alfalfa, clover, cowpea, grass for forage, peanut forage, soybean forage.

    14 1 parts per million in or on apple, apricot, asparagus, bean, beet (with or without tops) or beet greens alone, blackberry, blueberry (huckleber-ry), boysenberry, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, cherry, collards, corn, cranberry, cucumber, currant, dew-ber-ry, egg-plants, goose-ber-ry, grape, kale, kohlrabi, lettuce, lo-gan-ber-ry, melon, mush-rooms, nec-ta-rine, peach, peanuts, pear, pea, pepper, pine-ap-ple, plum, prune, fresh, pump-kin, quince, ra-dish (with or without tops) or ra-dish tops, rasp-ber-ry, rut-a-ba-gas (with or without tops) or rut-a-baga tops, spinach, squash, straw-ber-ry, squash, summer, tomato, tur-nip (with or without tops) or tur-nip greens, young-ber-ry.

    7 parts per million in or on sweet potato and yams from preharvest and postharvest application.

    3 parts per million in or on the fat of meat from cattle, goat, hog, horse, or sheep.

    2 parts per million in or on the following grains from storage-bin treatment: Barley, corn, oats, rice, rye, sorghum grain, wheat.

    1.25 parts per million in milk fat reflecting negligible residues in milk.

    1 part per million in or on potato.

    1 part per million in or on horseradish.
