Native Textiles Carisbrook Company, Glens Falls, New York;
Amended Certification Regarding Eligibility To Apply for Worker
Adjustment Assistance
In accordance with Section 223 of the Trade Act of 1974 (19 U.S.C.
2273) the Department of Labor issued a Certification of Eligibility to
Apply for Worker Adjustment Assistance on October 1, 1998, applicable
to workers of Native Textiles, Carisbrook Company, located in Glens
Falls, New York. The notice was published in the Federal Register on
October 23, 1998 (63 FR 56943).
At the request of the petitioners, the Department reviewed the
certification for workers of the subject firm. New information received
by the company shows that worker separations occurred at the subject
firms' headquarters office and showroom located in New York, New York.
The New York, New York workers provide administrative and other support
service functions for the Glens Falls, New York location. The workers
are engaged in the production of lace and tricot for activewear,
sportswear and intimate apparel.
The intent of the Department's certification is to include all
workers of Native Textiles who were adversely affected by increased
imports. Accordingly, the Department is amending the certification to
cover the workers of Native Textiles, New York, New York.
The amended notice applicable to TA-W-34,924 is hereby issued as
follows:
All workers of Native Textiles, Carisbrook Company, Glens Falls,
New York (TA-W-34,924), and New York, New York (TA-W-924A) who
become totally or partially separated from employment on or after
August 21, 1997 through October 1, 2000 are eligible to apply for
adjustment assistance under Section 223 of the Trade Act of 1974.
