responsibilities during emergency situations. In its supporting role to
the Departments of State and Health and Human Services (DHHS), the
Department of Defense will assist in planning for the protection,
evacuation and repatriation of U.S. citizens in threatened areas
overseas. The DD Form 2585, Repatriation Processing Center Processing
Sheet, has numerous functions, but is primarily used for
personnelaccountability of all evacuees who process through designated

emergency human services, including food, clothing lodging, family
reunification, social services and financial assistance through federal
entitlements, loans, or emergency aid organizations. The information,
once collected, is input into the Repatriation Automated Accounting and

Departments of Defense, State, Health and Human Services, the American
Red Cross, and State government emergency planning offices for
operational inquiries and reporting and future planning purposes.
