AGENCIES: Department of Defense (DOD), General Services Administration
(GSA), and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
ACTION: Notice of public meeting.

SUMMARY: A public meeting is being held to discuss revisions to the
rewrite of Part 45 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. The revisions
simplify procedures and eliminate requirements related to the
management and disposition of Government property in the possession of
contractors.
DATES: Public Meeting: A public meeting will be conducted at the
address shown below from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., local time, on
February 17, 1998, and February 18, 1998.
Draft Materials: Drafts of the materials to be discussed at the
public meeting will be available electronically (www.acq.osd.mil/dp/
mpi) or may be obtained from--Ms. Angelena Moy, (PDUSD(A&T)DP/MPI),
Room 3C128, The Pentagon, Washington, DC 20301-3060.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:
Background
A proposed rule was published in the Federal Register at 62 FR
30186, June 2, 1997. In response to this proposed rule, 990 comments
were received. The public meeting will provide a forum to discuss
possible revisions to the proposed rule resulting from the public
comments.
