Agenda and Notice of Public Meeting of the Illinois Advisory 
Committee

    Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of the rules and 
regulations of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, that a meeting of 
the Illinois Advisory Committee to the Commission will hold a 
consultation and planning meeting from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., on 
Wednesday, May 25, 1994 and Thursday, May 26, 1994, from 9 a.m. to 5 
p.m., at the Westin Hotel, 909 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 
60611. The purpose of the meeting is to gather information regarding 
civil rights issues facing Asian Americans in Metropolitan Chicago and 
to discuss other current issues and plan future activities.
    Persons desiring additional information, or planning a presentation 
to the Committee, should contact Committee Chairperson Faye M. Lyon or 
Constance M. Davis, Director of the Midwestern Regional Office, 312-
353-8311 (TDD 312-353-8326). Hearing-impaired persons who will attend 
the meeting and require the services of a sign language interpreter 
should contact the Regional Office at least five (5) working days 
before the scheduled date of the meeting.
    The meeting will be conducted pursuant to the provisions of the 
rules and regulations of the Commission.
