COMMISSION ON CIVIL RIGHTS
Agenda and Notice of Public Meeting of the Kentucky Advisory
Committee
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of the rules and
regulations of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, that a meeting of
the Kentucky Advisory Committee to the Commission will convene at 2
p.m. and adjourn at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 1994, at the Holiday
Inn-Downtown, 120 W. Broadway in Louisville, Kentucky. The meeting will
include: (1) A discussion of the status of the Commission and the State
Advisory Committees; (2) a discussion of civil rights issues and
progress in the State; and (3) review of a draft report on ``Bigotry-
Related Violence in Kentucky.''
Persons desiring additional information, or planning a presentation
to the Committee, should contact Committee Chairperson Thelma Clemons,
502-893-1055 or Bobby D. Doctor, Director of the Southern Regional
Office, 404-730-2476 (TDD 404-730-2481). Hearing-impaired persons who
will attend the meeting and require the services of a sign language
interpreter should contact the Regional Office at least five (5)
working days before the scheduled date of the meeting.
The meeting will be conducted pursuant to the provisions of the
rules and regulations of the Commission.
