Description of Request: Ocean Renewable Power Company (ORPC) requests the Commission to extend the term of the Cobscook Bay Tidal Energy Project pilot project license for two years from February 1, 2020 to February 1, 2022. ORPC received an eight-year pilot project license on February 27, 2012. ORPC states that precedence exists for longer-term (10 year) pilot project licenses. ORPC is currently in a technology optimization phase and the extension would provide opportunity to test alternative turbine designs.

Comments, Protests, or Motions to Intervene: Anyone may submit comments, a protest, or a motion to intervene in accordance with the requirements of Rules of Practice and Procedure, 18 CFR 385.210, .211, .214. In determining the appropriate action to take, the Commission will consider all protests or other comments filed, but only those who file a motion to intervene in accordance with the Commission's Rules may become a party to the proceeding.
