Traceability for Livestock Moving Interstate

The cost of animal ID will cost too much. The government debt is already at 100% of GDP. We have to many regulation to live by now. Animal ID needs to move at the speed of commerce. The Federal government can not manage the system at that pace. USDA cannot guarantee that the animal ID database information would be protected from release to the public under the Freedom of Information Act. We have the best animal health system in the world, we have the best packer system in the world, we have the best corn feed beef in the world. Why break a system that works? We need to keep the animal ID system Voluntary.
