Credit scores from credit bureaus, which have never been federally
regulated, can determine whether a person gets a good deal on a loan,
pays more for insurance or gets a job--and credit bureau mistakes are
notoriously difficult to correct.
Given how important these scores are to American families, particularly
in tough economic times, I would like to see the CFPB investigate these
bureaus to protect the best interests of consumers
