I am an R.D. (Registered Dietitian) in an acute care hospital in California. It is extremely burdensome to contact a physician to request a diet order change. When I have to contact a physician, it takes away time I could be spending with my patients as well as delays the patients with having the correct diets needed to help improve healthcare outcomes and get out of the hospital quicker. Please support Registered Dietitians with obtaining privileges to order patient diets. Thank you!
