Medicare Program: Medical Loss Ratio Requirements for Medicare Advantage and Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit Programs

Holding Medicare Advantage Programs along with Part D Prescription Plan carriers accountable for their Medical Loss ratio is a good concept. This appears to have the potential to lower costs to the elderly population. By having the administrative costs of the organization less than 15% will trigger lower cost of coverage. This is truly beneficial for the older generation who are living on a fixed income. The deductable and copays will be lower which will be less of a burden upon their lively hood. The organizations will be more efficient in their daily operations.
