We strongly object to this proposed change in operation. This proposed rule will increase the administrative costs of completing services and delivering parts. It will produce a significant increase in paperwork creation, administration and coordination. Printing every DD250 for each individual part delivery will delay shipment of product. In addition, it may increase of the cost of the product (overhead) through the requirement of additional
headcount in shipping. Existing contract pricing does not adequately cover
the additional administrative costs. Based on the fact that the printing
from WAWF-RA would be a manual process, we recommend that at a minimum alternative language be added that allows for the use of contractor format DD250 material and inspection receiving reports instead of actual WAWF-RA report printing.
