Comment on DOD_FRDOC_0001-DRAFT-0042

My family was so excited to see that the government was going to offer Tricare to the Retired Reserve Community, as I will retire within the next year and we'll be in need of affordable insurance once we are no longer eligible for TRS. I was outraged to see that the cost for TRR for myself & my family will be almost $1000 per month. I have served my country for 22 years as an Active Duty member and Reservist. I will not be eligible to collect my retirement pay & insurance benefits for almost 15 more years. The proposed cost is in NO way affordable to most retirees. The government should offer Tricare to Gray-Area Retirees at a cost similar to TRS. I understand Reserve Retirees should not receive full medical benefits at retirement like our Active Duty counterparts, but the government should offer us insurance at a reasonable cost, as a benefit of serving our country for decades.
