I am extremely concerned about the cost of the new gray area medical Insurance coverage. If it truly costs the Gray area reservist $976.41 per month for members and their family then it just seems ridiculous. Most employers share the cost of medical coverage. Costs to those employed seems to be about less than half of what is proposed. My current coverage is $376.00 per month for my family and myself. Why would I or any gray area reservist who is employed, switch to $976.41 per month? And if unemployed, who could afford any insurance expense let alone this amount? I appreciate covering gray area reservists and I understand that we should be paying more than those who are over 60 or retired form active duty. However, this needs to be a practical solution to health coverage for those who served their country for over 20 years and not a token gesture that most if anyone could ever afford so would never use. Thank you.
