PCNB has proven over the years to be a very cost effective chemical to use in our dwindling arsenal. Its proven effectiveness on grey and especially pink snow mold has made it one the most valuable tools that we have to use to protect our turf against these diseases. If we lose PCNB it will have a devastating effect on those of us who manage turf in the transition zone. Yes there are other chemicals out there which we can use, but I am still skeptical about their longevity of control over our harsh winters.
