Dear Sir or Madam,
I kindly ask You to consider our comment below with regard to Docket No. FAA-
2008-0620; Directorate Identifier 2007-NM-357-AD.
Lufthansa is performing the operational check of the engine fuel suction Feed
system in accordance with AMM task 28-22-00-710-810 at 1 D interval. 1 D
interval corresponds currently to up to 33.000 FH. So far 10 D Checks have been
accomplished in accordance with the referenced AMM task without findings.
Since the first D-Checks of its 747-400 fleet Lufthansa has performed a similar
task as a service experience item without findings.
Since Lufthansa has no technical or economical objection against an extension of
the proposed interval, we therefore ask for an interval of 35.000 FH for the initial
and repeat inspections of the operational check of the Engine Fuel Suction Feed
System.
Regards,
Sebastian Kortz
