Concerned about the verbiage in (e) (1) and (2)
Although the intent should be understood that if an actuator end cap has already
undergone the Ultrasonic Inspection by the time this directive gets published, that
the initial 50 hour Visual Inspection in (e) (1), and the initial 600 cycle Ultrasonic
Inspection in (e) (2) are superceeded. The actions are not required to be redone.
(e) (1) verbiage, "Within the next ... whichever occurs later" does not address if
previously complied with. Especially if the Ultrasonic Inspection has aleady been
complied with.
Similiarly (e) (2) verbiage, "within the next 600 cycles" would require that
established 1,200 cycle repeat inspections get reset to, "within the next 600
cycles"
