I note that the NPRM applies to specific aeroplanes, having serial numbers [750]-0222, and [750]-0225 and subsequent. However, the NPRM also includes a paragraph (i) Parts Installation, that specifies that “As of the effective date of this AD, no person may install any Pacific Scientific generators having part number 92841-1 (9914752-1) that has serial numbers 060 through 297 without the suffix ‘‘C’’ on any airplane”.
Given the Applicability (specific aeroplane s/n) of the NPRM, the Final AD (and therefore the prohibition of paragraph (i) of the AD) would not apply to any other than those listed s/n aeroplanes, potentially allowing such a generator to be installed on another (e.g. lower than -0222) s/n aeroplane.
Is this as intended?
