Airworthiness Directives: Boeing Co. Airplanes

View Comment

This Docket refers to an airworthiness directive about some of Boeing's 767 airplane models. Currently there is an existing AD that states an inspection is needed to detect cracks and fractures to assemblies on the edge of the main flap. This is a major issue that can cause possible damage to personal, customers, the aircraft and resources that are around. Since the first report of this issue was put in there were complaints put in about the issue at hand. The proposal that is being requested for the safety of all parties involved. It will help to prevent the flap from separating from the wing and causing more money in damages. I am a fan of The Boeing Company. I have done many papers on the company and found them to be a great and successful company. They are the world’s largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial jetliners and much more. In order for them to keep their continuously growing reputation this Airworthiness Directive is very crucial. Though the issue may be small; if it is left to spread it will cause serious damage. The damage that can occur will also cause mounds of problems for the company. There could possibly be injuries to workers, customers, aircrafts, and facilities. The company could be liable in court for these damages or injuries and their reputation both domestically and internationally would be scrutinized because of something minor. Ultimately this issue is unsafe and if not caught right away and fixed will become a serious issue.
