Docket # FAA-2013-0143 proposes a new Airworthiness Directive (AD) for certain RB211 engines for inspection of the Front Combustion Liners (FCL) metering panel to determine if it was made of N75 material and to replace it with one made of C263 material.
a) The proposed AD requires the use of SB 72-AG046 rev 3 for the inspection. Kindly consider either removing the revision or adding the word "or later revision", given the fact that these SBs become revised several times and yet, the AD does not (refer to EASA AD 2012-0215R1). Same request applies to the AD applicability, which should reference 72-AF572 rev 1 or 2 "or later revision".
b) Kindly consider the use of SB 72-AF572 rev 1-2 or later revision as a means of compliance for FCL being inspected following the AD release date. 72-AF572 is the SB used by most repair shops during engine shop visits.
