I would like to highlight that EASA has issued other ADs on the same subject and I would like to discuss with you the opportunity to include the equivalent mandatory actions in the AD (NPRM: - EASA AD 2012-0271 was issued December, 21 2012 and requires the installation of FCPC MRTT2 standard applicable to A330 on which SB A330-27-3156 has been embodied: This is the equivalent requirement covering A330 MRTT than the one in NPRM covering other A330 aircraft. The same compliance time is proposed (10 months). This action enables to supersede actions required by AD 2009-04-07 and AD 2011-02-09 and terminates the requirements of paragraphs (g) and (h) of the NPRM. - EASA AD 2013-0107 was issued May, 17 2013 and requires the installation of FCPC W12 standard applicable to A340-500/600: This is the equivalent requirement covering A340-500/600 than the one in NPRM covering A330 and A340-200/300. The same compliance time is proposed (10 months). This action enables to supersede action required by AD 2009-04-07 and terminates the requirements of paragraphs (g) of the NPRM. Also, because the AFM Temporary Revisions has changed the way they are identified, I propose to mention new references in addition to former one so that operators are able to make the link: - Paragraph (g) A330 (Airbus) Temporary Revision (TR) 4.02.00/46 is now referenced TR 7; - Paragraph (g) A340 (Airbus) TR 4.02.00/54 is now referenced TR 24. AFM TR referenced in paragraph (h) follow the new rules. Thank you
