Dear Sir,
Further to your request, as the inspection of tunnels is deemed necessary for safety reasons such as observing structural defects etc. It would appear to make sense to make the actual inspection process as safe as possible.
To that end I would respectfully propose that when that when a vehicle ride is deemed necessary for inspection that an explosion proof (XP) vehicle be used when there is any chance of a potential methane hazardous environment. Similarly in other applications where emissions from internal combustion engines should be minimized surely a standard such as that adopted in coal mines should also be adopted.
I have attached literature or respective vehicles for your review.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need anything further or you need further information.
Sincerely
