It would be nice to see States, Local Agencies and the staff recognized indivdually. Staff could include, IBCLC's, RD's, Breastfeeding Coordinators, Peer Counselors, Nutritionists and clerical staff that go above and beyond in their jobs as breastfeeding advocates. What are states doing as a group to improve outcomes through coalitions, policies, procedures, practices. At the local level, it would be great if there was a site where we could direct participants to comment on positive experiences they had with the agency or staff member related to breastfeeding. Also using reports and statistics on breastfeeding initiation and duration rates that show improvements with Local Agencies might be good marker for recognition. As well as participation in breastfeeding classes and groups.
