My name is Brendan Hughes and I would like to comment on the proposed listing of the Amargosa toad under the Endangered Species Act. I would like to mention one threat to the Amargosa toad, which is large-scale solar development in and around the area of the Amargosa River. One project, Solar Millenium Amargosa Farm Road, is in the process of preparing an EIS and will likely have adverse impacts to water resources in the area, whether it is wet-cooled or dry-cooled. Additionally, due to the area's excellent solar potential, many more applications for solar developments are inevitable. Therefore it would be prudent for FWS to protect the Amargosa toad in light of this unprecedented threat to its existence. Thank you.
