PPACA wants to provide for individuals and small employer groups a tax credit of $5,000. I feel this amount does not come close to what a family needs to purchase affordable health insurance coverage. At what the rates are now for family coverage, averages $1,600. per month, the tax credit still does not make the premium affordable for a family to purchase insurance. IF we are going to make premiums more affordable then make the tax credit $10,000. for each family. I have been in the small group health insurance market for over 30 years and I know what the consumer wants and can afford. The poverty income level individuals and families will not purchase health insurance at those rates/tax credits. IF you really want to make health insurance AFFORDABLE then PPACA needs to come up with a better plan for everyone or drop the AFFORDABLE from the PPACA. Thank you...
