Sir:
I believe that all Oregon licensed tax prepairers should be "greadfathered" when you pass the rule requireing all tax prepairers in the nation to be liciensed. I have bee licensed for the past nine years and have had no problems with returns that I have filed with the IRS. I was required to take 80 hours of income tax preparation before I could even set for the state test. I was then required to work in the trade, under supervision, for 750 hours before I could set for the "tax consultant" license.
Oregon has had very high standards for tax prepairers for a number of years and I believe that their testing and licensing is beyond reproach and should be reconginized by the IRS rule making process.
Thank You
