I read the Amendment 17B you guys are killing us! Please give the commercial fishermen a quota of Grouper, Black Sea Bass, Vermilion Snapper and Red Snapper for each license holder. If you spread the commercial catch between the license holders we could fish all year until our quota was met. There has been (2) fish markets closed this year due to no fish being brought in. The Black Sea Bass season has closed. I set my Bass pots 2 times, before the closure, how am I supposed to live? Around Hatteras they catch all of the quota during the summer, when the Bass arrive where we fish the quota has been met. To avoid fish markets going out of business and fisherman to earn a living, we must give catch shares to individual license holders. Please consider this. After talking to other fisherman and seafood markets this is the only way to address the problem.
