This requirement does not represent an additional burden on industry since most do
not involve themselves in it to begin with! As a contractor I perform approx. 125 Facility
Compliance Assessments annualy and a majority of companies have this requirement
performed by the fire extinguisher company. Most are not even aware of the
requirement. It is a standard section within the Facility Compliance Assessment and
hardly ever needs to be modified.
This requirement should be extended indefinetly. But of even greater significance, it
should be ENFORCED!
