Section 5.19 states "A member of the Auxiliary will be disenrolled on request, upon ceasing to possess the qualifications for membership, for cause, upon direction of the Commandant, or upon death."
I feel that the last part of this statement needs to be revised. Disenrollment is not something any of us in the Auxiliary take lightly and is a serious matter. A member that dies and has served in good standing for any amount of time should be honored not disenrolled. Active Duty Coast Guardsmen are posthumously retired. We serve right next to them. Disenrollment has the connotation of being killed out.
Please reconsider this change
