First, most members of the Bayou Liberty Association were unaware of thiws issue until the last day to comment. We then received the wrong url to read this. You are only hearing from the few we have contacted today. I would like to voice my objection to changing the hours for the Bayou Liberty bridge tenders. One reason we moved here was the ability to use our 26 foot boat with a fly bridge. We cannot proximate our return time or the tide by two hours on a normal routine. If we are unable to return through the bridge in a timely manner, there is nowhere to leave the boat. There is no public dock. Secondly, the bridge tender is able to view every boat that enters from the bridge, which has been a safety issue. Third, the new facility has just opened. It could have been designed differently if an employee were not there all day. Fourth, we must be able to get our boat out in an emergency. Last our property values do not need another hit.Thank you for considering our objections.
