I am a gulf war veteran of 1990. Navy. I am pleased to find that there has been some attention to the veterans of that particular war. after i returned from the war , i began having problems with my digestive system and was diagnosed with crohns disease shortly after. prior to the war i had no health related issues . i have been dealing with the effects of this disease for 21 years, surgery, many complications, and now on medication (treatment by infusion) it seems for the rest of my life.. so in short i am glad that there is now opportunity to be looked at from the 1990 gulf war veterans stand point. it also seems that navy veterans from the war havent gotten much recognition being aboard ship. although there are many situations that took place aboad ship that put navy vets in the line of fire to be injured by airborne contaminants. sincerely,
Seaman James USS PORTLAND LSD-37 AMPHIBIOUS DOCK LANDING SHIP.
