Abstract: This notice announces the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) extension of the current allocation of exemption slots at LaGuardia Airport (LGA) as authorized under the Wendell H. Ford Aviation Investment and Reform Act for the 21st Century (``AIR-21'). Additionally, this notice announces a second lottery for a limited number of slot exemptions at LGA to allocate unused capacity under the agency imposed slot exemption limit, effective January 31, 2001. The FAA finds that this action maintains the current operating environment at LGA pending a long-term solution. The lottery will be held on August 15, 2001.
