§ 107.73 - Knowledge and training.

§ 107.73 Initial Knowledge and recurrent knowledge tests.
(a)training.
An initial aeronautical knowledge test and recurrent training covers the following areas of knowledge:
(
1a) Applicable regulations relating to small unmanned aircraft system rating privileges, limitations, and flight operation;
2(
b) Airspace classification, operating requirements, and flight restrictions affecting small unmanned aircraft operation;
3(
c) Aviation weather sources and effects of weather on small unmanned aircraft performance;
4(
d) Small unmanned aircraft loading;
5(
e) Emergency procedures;
6(
f) Crew resource management;
7(
g) Radio communication procedures;
8(
h) Determining the performance of the small unmanned aircraft;
9(
i) Physiological effects of drugs and alcohol;
10(
j) Aeronautical decision-making and judgment;
11(
andk) Airport operations;
12(
.l) Maintenance and preflight inspection procedures
(b) A recurrent aeronautical knowledge test covers the following areas of knowledge:
(1) Applicable regulations relating to small unmanned aircraft system rating privileges, limitations, and flight operation(2) Airspace classification;
operating requirements and flight restrictions affecting small unmanned aircraft operation;and
(3) Emergency procedures;
(4) Crew resource management;
(5) Aeronautical decision-making and judgment;
(6) Airport operations; and
(7) Maintenance and preflight inspection procedures.
(m) Operation at night.
