§ 216.110 Purpose.
The purpose of this subpart is to establish regulations governing the take of whales from the Eastern North Pacific (ENP) gray whale (Eschrichtius robustus) stock by the Makah Indian Tribe and its enrolled members in accordance with the Secretary's determination to issue a waiver of the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA) take moratorium pursuant to 16 U.S.C. 1371(a)(3).
